Box City and Lesson Plan suggestions

For those of you who have had the opportunity to participate in Box City, you know how many ways you could incorporate that into different lessons! It is so creative and has such great application that its almost insane not to incorporate it into your future curriculum! It meets the higher levels of Bloom's and could potentially relate to all learning styles (depending on the lesson design). Needless to say, I loved it!

Moving on to other things, I am supposed to be creating a lesson for my students that incorporates early colonial settlers and the concept of cause/effect. Does anyone have any good ideas on lessons or have done anything in the past that could potentially relate?
